Today has been such a busy, busy day!
It totally deserves two separate blog posts!!
SO…
Here is the first one 🙂
We started off our morning with some energizers, breakfast, and prayers and worship,
then we moved into a DaySpring camp favorite – CAMP OLYMPICS!!!
We started the Olympics with the lemonade relay, where each camper runs to a counselor and the counselor squeezes a lemon into their mouth, then they run to the next counselor and get a spoonful of sugar, after that they run to the last counselor and get water to finish up the lemonade. Each team has to spit their lemonade into a bucket, and the team that has the most lemonade at the end wins!
After the lemonade relay we did the water sponge relay where each team stands in a line and soaks a sponge of water, they then have to pass it over their heads to the person behind them and the last person in the line squeezes the sponge into a bucket and runs to the front to start it over again. Once each team has filled 3 buckets (they’re kind of small) they win!!
We also did tug of war and balloon toss before getting to the main event…the PUDDING TOSS!
The campers selected 4 members of the staff to throw chocolate pudding at, and it was a mess! Our lucky counselors were JB and Courtney, and junior counselors Kayla and Andres! It was a fun way to end camp Olympics, and something that campers look forward to every year.
While everyone cleaned up from the pudding, we spent some time on the water slide before heading off to lunch and then siesta.
This afternoon was great with chapel time and crafts where we made friendship bracelets for a new friend and then traded them with each other 🙂
Camper’s Choice today was gaga pit (a huge hit with campers!) and more friendship bracelets!
After dinner we had our Hootenanny (which is so awesome, it deserves its own separate blog post!!!)
Thanks for checking out our blog (and for being so understanding when it takes a bit longer to upload due to the amount of pictures and having so much fun with the campers!!)
Don’t forget you can email your camper until Thursday at 12pm at campbunknotes@gmail.com!
See you Friday at 1pm for the Eucharist in the New Pavilion!!!
Thank you these are awesome!!!
Looks like sooo much Fun! Thank you for posting! We are loving seeing our happy camper!
