The last full day of mission camp! Where has the time gone?!
Today we said goodbye to our friends at our mission sites, and it was so hard to do after this week we have spent together!
At RCMA, we put on a puppet show (The Three Little Doggies, there were no pig puppets!!) for the whole center, everyone really enjoyed themselves. The campers did a great job and the kids giggled through the whole thing!! They also made us the sweetest poster, so be sure to check that out at the Eucharist on Friday!
At Turning Points, we sang songs with people during lunch, it was such an awesome and moving experience, and we were so glad for the opportunity to share that with others.
When we arrived back at camp, we had camper’s choice and free time, and then headed off to dinner.
After dinner was our talent show, which was a great chance to share our talents with each other! Lots of laughter and so much applause!
We had worship and some quieter time together after the talent show and spent some time really reflecting on our week together and out in the world. Everyone had lots to share, and the general feeling was that we got so much more out of the week than we expected and felt closer to God because of it! How awesome is that?!
We are so excited to see our families tomorrow, but are really sad to be leaving our new family!
There are middle school aged programs offered during the school year, so check out our website if your camper is interested in attending these weekend retreats. http://www.episcopalswfl.org/Youth%20and%20Young%20Adult/youth-ministry.html
See you tomorrow at our Closing Eucharist at 1pm in the New Pavilion at DaySpring!!
