We have had a great week so far at Middle School Mission Camp! On Monday and Tuesday we went to Benison Farm in St. Petersburg and Myakka River State Park. We have learned so much about the environment and ways we can help to sustain it for the future.
Today we all went together on a canoe trip up the Manatee River. It was a great time, and there were lots of opportunities for us to get out and play around in the water! We made it a couple of hours up river before we stopped for lunch and then headed back – we made it out of the water just in time for a storm to hit! It has been raining most of the afternoon and evening, but we were still able to do some of our prayer stations outside before moving inside for the evening.
Tomorrow is our last day, and we will spend the entire day at camp – kicking it off with high ropes in the morning! We can’t wait to see everyone on Friday morning! Don’t forget – our closing Eucharist is at 11am in the Program Center and camper pickup begins at 12pm.
