Less than 24 hours since the closing of our first week of camp and we are back at it again! This time with middle school campers and more than twice as many kids! We are so excited to have a high energy week filled with lots of firsts for the summer!
We kicked off the evening with some cabin time getting to know our cabin families before dinner. Then it was time to head to Curry Hall for dinner – stromboli! SO delicious!
After we got back from dinner we did some energizers to get everyone pumped up, and began our program for the evening. Fr. Michael (our Chaplain for the week) began by sharing the some ideas about the meaning behind Jesus being the Good Shepard. He really connected how Jesus wasn’t saying He was like the Good Shepard, but that He was the Good Shepard, and all of the meaning that came with that.
We also got into our Ohana groups for the week and spent some time getting to know each other.
After we finished our inside activities for the night, we went out to the campfire for Compline and s’mores!
Campers are all safe and sound in their cabins for the night. They’re resting up to spend a couple of hours in the pool tomorrow!!!
Aaaaand don’t forget to email your camper at CampBunkNotes@gmail.com.
And remember our closing Eucharist is this Friday at 11am in the Program Center.
