We are off to a fantastic start with high school week! We have completed our first full day and are working hard and having love of fun in our second full day!
Check out our pictures from our first night at camp!
On Monday we had an awesome day in our focus groups; arts, outdoor, and sports!
After lunch and siesta we had our Camper’s Choice activities and free time!
After dinner we had our scavenger hunt which was led by our awesome Junior Counselors! Each Ohana group had to follow the clues which led them around DaySpring. Once they collected all of their clues, they were sent back to the New Pavilion to put together a scramble of letters to decode the secret words which were “TO SERVE.”
We took a spiritual gifts assessment in the morning part of programming, so in the evening, some of the staff shared about their spiritual gifts and how they have been able to use them in their lives.
We began work on our prayer loom tonight, the first strings we put on matched the color assigned to our spiritual gift. The counselors also decided that they wanted to show themselves as servant leaders so they washed the feet of the campers in their Ohanas.
And finally, to conclude our evening, we had an awesome time singing lots of songs around the campfire and eating s’mores!!!
We have TONS of pictures for Tuesday, so stay tuned for that!!!
Remember, you can email your camper at firstname.lastname@example.org. Emails received after 12pm on Thursday may not be delivered.
Mark your calendars to join us for our closing Eucharist on Friday, June 26th, at 1pm in the New Pavilion. Camper pickup will begin at 2pm.
