Can you believe that camp is halfway over!?
We are officially at the half way mark, all campers are safe and sound in their cabins for the night after an awesome Tuesday!
We kicked off the day with a Hawaiian Theme, we did some of our energizers to some Hawaiian music – also check out Mother Michelle and Dan our seminarian in their outfits!!!
Today was canoes and we also added in archery with Slade who works here at DaySpring! This was so exciting and went over so well with all of the campers!! This was definitely an experience for our canoes to go out onto the river and find the sand bar.
Today was “Tend” in our Five Marks of Mission so we learned about responding to human need through loving service. We asked DaySpring what we could do so help them, so we cleaned up some of the grounds here. We even found a corn snake!! And while we were doing crafts today we found a dog from one of the neighbors. We played with her until her owners were able to come get here! How loving and caring are these campers!?
We were so lucky to be able to keep off the rain for today. (Dan, our seminarian, thinks it was his anti-rain dance that he performed yesterday with cheerleading pompons! We will let him keep doing that!)
Here are some random pictures from the day for you to enjoy! Keep your eyes open for our Wacky Wednesday pictures coming soon!!
Many thanks to Bishop Smith for coming out to chat with the campers!
Remember: feel free to email your camper anytime now through Thursday morning by putting their name in the subject line and emailing to firstname.lastname@example.org
