First Full Day of Elementary Camp Journey

2013

Well our first full day of camp is complete! And a great start on our journey that we will be taking this week. In the morning we woke up at the crack of 7, got dressed for the day, and head on over to the New Pavilion where we learned an energizer and said a morning prayer before breakfast.

After breakfast we had a group called Pathfinder’s come and take the kids outside to play some games, and get them to learn how to work with either a partner or in a team. They played games such as Ranger Tag, Knee Tag, Rock Paper Scissor Metamorphosis, and Look Down, Look Up!

After our lunch and Siesta (hour break after lunch to take a nap and relax), the campers rotated from having a half an hour God Talk in the chapel to half an hour of Arts and Crafts, where they made a journal full of questions for each day of our journey, and a book bag to put it in. We sang some songs before having dinner, then after dinner the campers watched the animated version of The Hobbit.

Does my heart good to see the campers having so much fun. Although I miss my little man greatly I know he is in good hands. Thanks you for taking such good care of him and all the children. It’s such a blessing knowing they are in God’s hands.
