BreakOut 2017 – Day 2

2017

What. An. Awesome. Day.

We seriously had a great time!

We kicked the day off with breakfast and then some energizers (and quickly learned that energizers are fun but we don’t necessarily need them for energy with this group…)

After breakfast we had worship with Fr. Michael and he asked us some really interesting questions about God. We talked about loving God and loving our neighbors and about thinking about how we treat others. From worship we moved into the BreakOut program where we talked about Faith (don’t worry, be happy!!)

The counselors performed a skit about Abraham and Isaac, and it was fantastic!

Then it was time for….THE FIRST OFFICIAL SWIM OF SUMMER IN THE NEW POOL!!!!!!

We did some quick swim tests and then had a great time swimming in the pool with all of our new friends. It only rained for a minute, and we were already wet anyway 😀

After the pool we had some delicious chicken tenders and tater tots for lunch before heading back to our cabins for a short siesta.

Once siesta was over we had snack and opened up the Canteen for the first time – yum! 😉 And then it was time for Chapel with Fr. Michael and Fr. Spencer, and tie dye with Morgan.

When we were finished with all of those fun activities, we all headed down to the waterfront for some late afternoon canoeing. SO COOL!!

Then we had dinner, some more BreakOut program where the counselors put on a skit about the Wemmicks, and we prepared our puppets for our puppet show tomorrow. And we rounded out the evening with worship and s’mores around the campfire!

We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!!!

Don’t forget – Friday is the last day to send your camper bunk notes at CampBunkNotes@gmail.com. After tomorrow afternoon we are unable to guarantee that they are delivered.

Join us on Saturday morning at 11am for our Closing Eucharist. Camper pick up begins at 12:00pm.

Thanks!!!
