2018 Leadership Camp – Day 3

Written by:

We began our morning with some time building community and using teamwork and leadership out on the low ropes course. When we were done sweating it out, we tried to go to the pool, but there was lightning that was too close. (No rain today though!) So we played some games inside before heading to lunch.

After lunch and siesta it was time for tree climbing, which was so much fun! Its always more than campers expect it to be when they hear tree climbing. When we were done with that we were able to spend some time in the pool with no lightning in our way this time!

This evening, we had a guest speak representing FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) come talk to us today about being Christian leaders out in the world and ways that we can be involved outside of camp. He was really great and our campers really enjoyed his message.

Barney and his wife, Leta, joined us tonight for “Barney’s Bistro.” This is a more low-key version of our talent show that ends with a concert from Leta and Barney. (The Urban Gypsies of Florida.) Everyone had a great time and many campers showed off a variety of talents.
