2018 Leadership Camp – Day 1

Written by:

The time has come! We have been looking forward to this camp all summer! A great turn out this year of campers, but a smaller group than the rest of our sessions. It should make for a really great week with a close knit community!

We began our evening with staff introductions, dinner and then Chaplain’s Program. In Chaplain’s Program, our chaplain for the week, Justin Walker, led us through a discussion of what it means to be a leader and what leadership is. We talked about communicating throughout the week and what we intend to accomplish together.

For Counselor’s Program we play the Pillowcase Game. For this game, campers go to their cabins and put whatever they want in their pillowcases to use as props to act out various scenarios. There was definitely some creative use of props!

After Counselor’s Program we went and had Compline around the campfire before heading off to bed!
